The ApoE4 Plan is a local, offline reference tool. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. Everything you enter stays on your device. This policy describes what data you may input and how it is managed.
All data entry is completely optional. You can use the app's reference materials and guides without ever entering any personal or health information.
To provide its interactive functionality, the app allows you to optionally input certain Health Data, specifically:
Usage: This data is used solely locally within the app to calculate scores. We do not use this data for any other purpose, and we never access, collect, or transmit this data off your device.
Local Storage: Any health data you enter is stored only in the app's temporary memory (RAM) while the app is running. It is not persisted to a database or local file storage, except for a flag for whether you have seen the intro, which is stored via standard local app storage.
Retention: Because health data is held only in active memory, it is typically cleared whenever you close or restart the app. Any locally stored preferences remain on your device as long as the app is installed.
Since we do not store your health data on any servers, we cannot delete it for you. You have full control over your data:
We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any other personally identifiable information. There are no user accounts and no sign-in requirements.
The app contains links to published research papers and external websites for reference purposes. When you follow these links, you leave the app and those sites are governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any external site.
We do not use analytics software, advertising SDKs, crash reporting services, or any other tracking technology. No usage data of any kind is collected.
The app contains a voluntary link to Ko-fi for supporting the developer. Tapping this link opens an external website (ko-fi.com). Any transactions made there are governed by Ko-fi's own privacy policy and terms of service.
If this policy changes in a future version of the app, the updated date at the top of this page will reflect the revision.
